On the opening of Ryburn Golf Club on Saturday 14th May 1910 the Halifax Evening Courier reported that the club had acquired a 42 acre plot of land with a farm house and three cottages which had been remodelled into a splendid club house. Future Plans included the building of a veranda and lawn in front of the house where in fine weather tea will be served.
